So I guess I'll explain each of my ratings individually:
Vision:
Vision for me has never been an easy one to describe. But in my vision right now is a shot that is just sheer beauty. It actually brings a smile to my face seeing such a beautiful photo!
Originality:
Well I have seen shots like this before, but such beautiful sights like this pop up and down coastlines across the globe. The thing that sets this one out from the others is just the way the shot is lit, the orange/yellows on the mountain, the blue sky, the dark brown/greeny rocks in the foreground, and this brings me on to the next category...
Technique:
As I said the lighting and the colours, the way the waves are splashing against the rocks. This shot is clearly planned, and set-up well. I can imagine you stood there for a while trying to get the perfect settings, and then the perfect angle. And if you didn't then you got lucky your camera was set-up well!
Impact:
Obviously this isn't a life changing photo, so it doesn't 'impact' me. However, it does 'strike' me as a well taken photo, and does put a smile on my face and make say 'Wow, that's beautiful. You're clearly quite a skilled photographer.
My only criticism is the rock pool in the foreground. It just seems so bland and colourless compared to the rest of the photo. Whether it could be helped or not I'm not sure. But that's just opinion.
Overall, a fantastic photo, and one I'm extremely glad I stumbled across.
