Rophaien Sunrise by TobiasRichter Rophaien Sunrise by TobiasRichter
While I was going through the archives I came across the great sunrise I was able to watch on the top of Rophaien in 2011.
After a horrible night with thunderstorm fronts over me while I was camping next to the exposed summit the weather cleared up and the sun rose softly over the grad to the mountain Diepen. A truly impressive memory.

If you have followed my work you can you maybe remember the other image. This shot was taken abundant ten minutes after the older one so that the sun was more powerful. Here you can take a look at the previous one: www.richterphotographie.de

I like to know which image you prefer.

Hello there.
I usually dont write a critique/review for such magnificent shots so consider this a praise for the photograph.

Vision: 5
Nothing more I could say, your vision covered it all.

Originality: 4
We can all take take a picture of the landscape at sunrise or sunset.

Technique: 5
The camera is excellent, no doubt. And the filter selection and afterprocessings is done nice, clean and non-invasive preserving its natural and authentic spirit

Impact: 5
Well, it made me google "Rophaien peak" just to know where this shot was taken. This rarely happens.

I like the picture a lot (and your other ones) so keep up the good work.
What do you think?

This is beautiful, and looks like you went to a lot of effort for the shot. Amazing what 10 minutes can do to dramatically alter the feel of a photograph. I don't know which one I like best!

I prefer this picture over the other one...then again, it just might depend on my mood or what time of day I'm viewing either photo. both are very stunning.

This is just so, so gorgeous! What a view, just beautiful. I like both pictures equally; I like this one for the smoother color of the sun and the light spreading over the mountains, but the earlier image shows more of a contrast (and an oranger sun).

Painfully beautiful photograph; are you sure it's not a rendering? (even if it were, it would be a painfully beautiful one) Gorgeous work!

I like the sun in this one better, but the landscape in the other one better. If I had to choose, it would come down to which you were aiming for...if you were trying to capture the land, the other. The sunrise? Then this one does nicely. Just my own opinion though...*runs out of room in case I was wrong*

The previous one seems more "living" because of the saturated green colour of the slopes in the foreground and the small spot of sun. It is also more mysterious thanks to beautiful blue colour in the background. Both photographs are wonderful but I like the previous one more than this.   (:

Absolutely awesome photo.. I like this one of the two. Not sure why but the focus on the grass seems to be more appealing in this one. Both are great shots but this one has a more ethereal appeal.
